  • My team members are really great. They've helped make me feel comfortable around the office and helped me significantly with my training/development. It's also been great starting with all the other grads. We are all in the same situation, so it's great to be able to relate. The amenities are also superb.
  • I love the culture and how inviting everyone is. The training given is great and makes most tasks easy to understand and complete.
  • I love the work that I do and the projects my team gets.
  • The culture, social opportunities and fulfilled training programs.
  • Graduate programs started a little bit late. It would be better if we could start earlier.
  • Currently, my biggest con is the time it takes me to commute to the office (this obviously is not SW's fault). It ends up being about a 13-hour day from door to door
  • The graduate program may be improved by offering rotation.
  • Sometimes lots of work.
  • Some long hours during the busy season, but the team are always supportive and will help.

Culture

Culture
The company places a strong emphasis on cultivating a positive and inclusive employee culture—truly one of the best I’ve experienced. They actively promote a healthy work-life balance, encouraging employees to prioritise their well-being alongside professional responsibilities. Beyond the workplace, they organise a wide range of social events that allow us to connect, unwind, and enjoy ourselves in a relaxed setting. These initiatives not only foster camaraderie but also make work feel more rewarding and enjoyable.

Satisfaction

Satisfaction
I get a lot of tasks that I am fully responsible for; it is not just grunt work, it is meaningful and has a direct impact on the outcome. They really try to extend us, which helps us learn and improve our ability to do the work ourselves.

Management

Management
The managers are fantastic, they are extremely friendly and approachable and will make time to get to know you. They will also spend time explaining where you have gone wrong and what you can do to fix it. They understand you're a grad and don't expect you to have all of the answers.

Office Work Environment

Office Work Environment
The space is modern but still inviting; there are two kitchens and enough quiet spaces and meeting rooms to accommodate everyone. The location is in central Sydney, right near Circular Quay, which makes it accessible for everyone to get to. The dress code is business casual, with the only requirement being to dress a bit nicer if having an in-person meeting with clients.

Recruitment

Recruitment
The interview process was one of the best I’ve experienced. The responses were quick and timely. It started with a phone call to introduce the company and a friendly chat, followed by a short assessment and video interview. Finally, I had a face-to-face interview with a partner and a senior manager. At first, it seemed daunting, but once I met them, I realised how nice and approachable they were.

The pay and benefits are good at SW. They provide matched time for any overtime you work and hold great social events throughout the year, like balls, football games, and end-of-month drinks

Training
There is formal training provided, which helps give a great start to your career. Additionally, the people you are working with always spare time to explain how everything works and answer every question that you have.

Work Hours
The work hours are flexible, but it is good to be in the office at the same time as everyone else, which helps meet people, and you are able to ask more questions and learn more. Work from home is available after you pass your 6-month probationary period. You may do the occasional bit of overtime as a grad, but for the most part, they don't want graduates working overtime.
