Water Resources Engineering Intern to support water resources and wastewater projects in Dewberry’s New York City office for Summer 2026.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Create and perform concept level design of treatment works
  • Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and computations for storm water and watershed master planning
  • Support stream restoration and water quality studies
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals in a dynamic work environment

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of water quality modeling, wastewater modeling, and water quality regulatory issues preferred
  • Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design preferred
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $17.75 - $28.75 per hour
  • No relocation assistance or housing stipend provided; local candidates preferred
