Dewberry seeks a Water Resources Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in New York City to support water resources and wastewater projects.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Create and perform concept-level design of treatment works
  • Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and computations for storm water and watershed master planning
  • Support stream restoration and water quality studies

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources ora  related field
  • Knowledge of water quality modeling, wastewater modeling, and water quality regulatory issues is preferred
  • Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design preferred
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Local candidates preferred; no housing stipend provided
  • Dewberry will not sponsor new applicants for work authorization at this time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $17.75 - $28.75 per hour

  • Hands-on project experience during the summer intern program
