Join Arcadis as a Water Resources Engineer in Houston, TX, supporting sustainable water resilience projects and advancing environmental solutions.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of resiliency, stormwater, and wastewater projects in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
- Providing comprehensive assessments and developing strategies for resilience initiatives including vulnerability and mitigation assessments.
- Planning and design services for utilities, municipalities, and cities with a focus on green and natural infrastructure.
- Utilizing models to assess flood conditions, enhance drainage designs, optimize energy flows, and develop master plans prioritizing resilience and sustainability.
- Aiding in planning, designing, and implementing innovative projects.
- Preparing technical reports, calculations, documentation, proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Ensuring project compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials.
- Monitoring project progress and providing updates to supervisors.
- Performing fieldwork activities including site visits, construction inspection, sampling, water quality analyses, asset inventory, flow monitoring setup and monitoring, and technology evaluations.
About You

- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
- Dependability and eagerness to take ownership of tasks.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexible attitude towards dynamic work assignments and initiative to take on new projects.
- Preferred: Engineer-in-Training Certificate.
- Preferred: Basic understanding/familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and H&H models.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $53,094 - $84,950, based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
