Arcadis seeks an Entry Level Water Engineer in Indianapolis, IN to support sustainable water solutions and project development.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, planning, and designing water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities.
- Supporting project management activities and contributing to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments and mitigation planning.
- Performing site visits, water sampling, water quality analysis, technology evaluation, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant operations.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials; participating in client meetings.
- Ensuring project compliance with Arcadis quality, health, and safety standards; coordinating timely project completion within budget.
- Learning and managing databases, SQL server, cloud computing services, and interactive dashboards.
- Collaborating independently and as part of a team across U.S. and international locations.
- Utilizing digital tools such as SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance project delivery and client collaboration.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a diligent work ethic.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to embrace new projects and challenges.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts related to water/wastewater/stormwater systems.
- Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferred: Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal environment.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit.
- Preferred: EIT certification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $49,390 - $79,023, based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
