Design intuitive, accessible user experiences for Google products, collaborating across teams to create impactful solutions.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining the user model and user interface for Google products and features.
- Developing high-level or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, researchers, writers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
- Evaluating the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for change.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design (e.g., Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Principle, etc.).
- Experience in designing usable interfaces.
- A design portfolio showcasing design principles for web or mobile platforms.
- English proficiency to facilitate global collaboration and communication.
- Preferred: Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.
- Preferred: In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.
- Preferred: Experience working with web or mobile based technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android Studio, XCode, etc.).
- Preferred: UX internship or experience working in Interaction, Graphic Design, or Motion Design through personal, academic, or volunteer projects.
- Preferred: Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.
Compensation & Benefits
- US base salary range: $84,000 - $112,000 (base salary only, excluding bonus, equity, or benefits).
