Transportation Engineering Intern - Columbus (Start ASAP)

Join AECOM as a Transportation Engineering Intern in Columbus, Ohio, contributing to highway and bridge design projects with a leading global infrastructure firm.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Perform design calculations for highway and bridge design projects.
• Design in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Assist the project manager/project engineer in the preparation of planning documents.
• Assist the project manager/project engineer in the development of construction documents including Civil drawings and technical specifications.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an interest in transportation engineering at an ABET-accredited university, having completed at least one year of study.
• Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree planning to continue with a Master’s degree in the same or similar discipline are eligible.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the position.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Preferred: Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a local ABET-accredited university.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Preferred: Excellent written and communication skills.

• Hourly pay: USD 18 - USD 24.
