A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. seeks a motivated Transportation Engineer Intern for a paid full-time summer internship with potential for full-time employment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project tasks such as regulatory reviews, cost estimates, research, and procurement support
  • Performing data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation
  • Assisting in preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients
  • Participating in field assignments as needed
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and engineering staff
  • Performing other related duties as necessary

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Honest, fun, hard-working, and eager to learn and grow

Preferred qualifications include experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, or Bentley Microstation.
