Join 7-Eleven as a Transportation Analyst Intern to optimize delivery routes and gain hands-on experience in a leading global convenience retailer.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Assist in developing and optimizing delivery routes using outing software (e.g., Roadnet, Descartes, ORTEC, Paragon, or internal systems).
  • Aid in analyzing transportation costs, vehicle capacity, driver hours, and service requirements to recommend routing strategies.
  • Maintain routing databases, update store/warehouse delivery points, and manage route changes.
  • Interface with 3PL partners to gather data and influence outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service rules, and company safety standards.
  • Partner with team to prepare regular reporting and presentations for management on routing performance and cost savings.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, stay organized, and focus on details.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Solid understanding of business etiquette.
  • Optimistic, positive, and ready-for-anything attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Training & Development

  • Work closely with a coach who provides regular project guidance, direction, and feedback.
  • Attend a lunch series offering cross-functional organizational insights and exposure to senior leadership.
  • Participate in events including in-store experience, hack day, and capstone presentation.
  • Tour stores and learn about distribution systems.
