Traffic Engineer Intern (Start ASAP)

Join Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP as a Traffic Engineer Intern to assist with traffic analysis and transportation projects in a collaborative team environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist engineers with traffic analysis, modeling, and simulation.
• Support the preparation of traffic impact studies, signal design plans, and maintenance of traffic analysis.
• Collect and analyze traffic and transportation data.
• Perform fieldwork such as traffic counts, travel time studies, and site observations.
• Apply engineering principles to develop solutions that enhance safety and mobility.
• Collaborate with project teams and contribute to multidisciplinary transportation projects.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in transportation and traffic engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to engineering software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, or structural analysis programs) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future (no visa sponsorship available).
