Trade Compliance Associate (Start ASAP)

L3Harris seeks a detail-oriented Trade Compliance Associate in Salt Lake City to support compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Learning and interpreting import/export regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and other trade rules.
• Assisting in classification of products under systems like the Harmonized System (HS) and assigning tariff codes and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs).
• Researching and monitoring changes to trade laws and regulations and their impact on the business.
• Maintaining accurate records, utilizing trade management tools, and generating reports on trade activity and compliance metrics.
• Supporting audits, assessments, and implementation of compliance programs and procedures.
• Collaborating with internal departments (logistics, legal, finance), external partners (customs brokers, freight forwarders), and potentially government agencies.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in business (within last 12 months).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with trade compliance software (e.g., SAP, Trade Automation).
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables), data visualization skills using Power BI, and knowledge of machine learning applications in classification tasks.
