Thermal Engineering Undergrad Intern - Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) (May 2026)

Thermal Mechanical intern role at Oracle in Burlington, MA, supporting design, simulation, and testing of prototype thermal solutions.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Work with mechanical and thermal design team supporting all development life-cycle phases
• Design, simulate, document, and test/validate prototype thermal designs
• Measure airflow in hardware lab
• Perform thermal and airflow simulations and testing of new thermal solutions
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment on cutting-edge technologies

About You

What you'll need:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or equivalent science/engineering field, returning post-internship
• Reside in the US and/or attend a US university
• Work authorization in the US for 2026 without visa sponsorship
• Academic coursework, projects, internships, or research experience in at least three of: Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Materials Science, Control System, Mechanical Design, Systems Engineering
• Experience in at least two of: Industry Standard MCAD tools, Digital thermometers, Pressure Gauges, PCB Design, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling, Electronic Packaging
• Preferred: Experience with CREO and FlowTherm
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Hourly pay range: $19.62 to $38.32; annual equivalent: $40,800 to $79,700
