Tesla seeks a Technical Editor Intern to create and refine diagnostic procedures, collaborating with engineering teams in a dynamic service engineering environment.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Create and update diagnostic information and procedures in the diagnostics database
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to gather technical information
- Translate technical problems for non-technical audiences
- Validate information accuracy and manage document approval processes
- Edit content according to style guides and enforce organizational standards
- Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration software such as JIRA, Wrike, SharePoint, Quickbase, and custom databases
About You
The company is looking for:
- Pursuing a degree in Technical Writing or a related field with graduation between April 2026 and December 2027
- Ability to create and edit clear, accurate, concise documentation
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Aptitude for transcribing written words from non-native speakers
- Impeccable written and verbal communication
- Experience with various communication media and advanced formatting and presentation skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Markup language experience (HTML, XML, DITA XML, or SGML) is a plus
