Tax Summer Interns at CohnReznick will prepare tax returns, assist with client deliverables, and collaborate with diverse teams in a hybrid work environment.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with a team of Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
  • Preparing a variety of client deliverables, including tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Identifying potential tax issues and preparing tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
  • Assisting the team with daily client workflow.
  • Becoming familiar with current tax theories and laws and performing procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Collaborating with professionals across industries such as Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (varies by office).
  • Engaging in a hybrid work model, with an average of 3 days per week in the office, and utilizing collaborative office spaces.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 - September 2027 to be CPA licensed.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in both major and overall.
  • Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
  • Leadership experience in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or team projects.
  • Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proof of work authorization (U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status); sponsorship is not offered for entry-level roles.
