Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculate tax extensions or estimate payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
About You
The company is looking for:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Progress toward CPA licensure in the state of the office location, including completion of 150 credit hours prior to start date
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the office state
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person
- Effective time management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team
- Problem-solving attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Preferred: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
