Tax Associate role at CohnReznick in Bethesda, MD, involves preparing tax returns, researching tax issues, and collaborating in a hybrid work environment.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations.
  • Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances.
  • Research filing requirements and tax issues using Internal Revenue Code, treasury regulations, and other guidance.
  • Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Draft tax technical memorandums.
  • Collaborate with a team including Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2025 and September 2026 to be CPA licensed.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in both major and overall.
  • Leadership positions in extracurricular activities preferred.
  • Prior work or internship experience; accounting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based culture.
  • Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must provide proof of work authorization (U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency); no sponsorship for entry-level roles.
