Systems Engineer Intern - Cincinnati (Mar 2026)

Join Medpace as a Systems Engineer Intern supporting IT infrastructure with hands-on experience in Microsoft and virtualization technologies.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Core Infrastructure team with entry-level tasks
• Working with on-premise Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Skype for Business, Exchange, IIS Web Servers, SQL Server, Active Directory, and System Center
• Assisting with Azure Infrastructure and Office 365 applications
• Managing VMWare infrastructure in Cincinnati and international datacenters
• Handling storage networks using EMC and Pure technologies
• Supporting backup operations with Comm Vault and Symantec BackupExec
• Working with SDWAN using Silver Peak
• Performing traditional Windows Server administration and Dell Server hardware support
• Automating tasks and processes using shell scripting where applicable

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong desire to learn and grow with a solid technical foundation
• Self-directed with the ability to research solutions and propose creative ideas
• Effective communication skills with peers, end users, and management
• Familiarity with Windows Server and virtualization technologies
• Understanding of data center management systems
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
