Interns participate in a 10-week summer program, gaining hands-on experience, working on impactful projects, and engaging with Texas Capital leaders.
Your Role:
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching, analyzing, and presenting transaction structures, investment proposals, and idea generation activities.
- Learning banking fundamentals, including financial statement analysis, credit analysis, and core commercial banking concepts.
- Developing client pitch materials, marketing collateral, transaction documents, and presentations.
- Staying current with market and economic events to identify issues relevant to clients and transactions.
- Maintaining organized files for active and prospective transactions, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Demonstrating professionalism by attending meetings and delivering reports on time.
- Committing to continuous learning, remaining coachable, and applying feedback to develop skills.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current enrollment in a BBA, BA, BS, or Master’s program in finance, accounting, or a related field, with graduation expected by the summer following the program.
- Completion of at least 6 credit hours in accounting and 6 credit hours in finance.
- Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA (transcript required to verify).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, for creating professional reports, memos, and presentations.
- Interest in building a long-term career in banking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and community involvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships.
- Willingness to identify three lines of business of interest when applying.
