Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
- Work collaboratively on exploratory projects that drive scientific advancement across multiple research areas.
- Contribute to teams across Google including Google DeepMind, Google Research, Google Cloud, and more.
- Engage in research projects aligned with company priorities in scientific advancement.
- Support the creation of breakthrough technologies through innovative research challenges.
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Experience in one area of computer science such as Natural Language Understanding, Human Computer Interactions, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas.
- Preferred: Currently enrolled full-time and returning to the degree program after internship completion.
- Preferred: Currently attending a degree program in the United States.
- Preferred: Experience as a researcher through internships, full-time roles, or lab work.
- Preferred: Experience contributing to research communities, including publishing papers in major conferences or journals.
- Preferred: Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.
- English proficiency is required for global collaboration.
- Must be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
- US base salary range: $92,000 - $122,000, determined by role, level, and location.
- Salary excludes bonus, equity, or benefits.
