Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in research to develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
  • Collaborating with teams across Google, including Google DeepMind, Google Research, and Google Cloud, on research, engineering, and science roles.
  • Engaging in exploratory projects that drive scientific advancement across a multitude of research areas.
  • Supporting the creation of breakthrough technologies and innovative research challenges.
  • Working on projects that vary in duration and location based on team and student requirements.
  • Ensuring presence in one of the specified U.S. locations for the full duration of the engagement.

About You:

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Human Computer Interactions, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas).
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Must be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
  • Intended for students not seeking full-time employment after this role, as the program is non-conversion eligible.
  • Flexible in time commitment, length of opportunity, and onsite/remote nature, depending on project and host needs.
  • Start dates typically range from August through December.

Compensation & Benefits:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000–$122,000, determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additional benefits typically include health insurance, paid time off, wellness programs, and access to Google’s employee resources. Compensation does not include bonus, equity, or additional benefits.
