Structural Engineering Intern position in Roanoke, VA offering hands-on experience with AECOM’s global infrastructure projects in a hybrid work model.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in diverse assignments applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete tasks effectively.
  • Following directives from senior engineers to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhering to deadlines while ensuring delivery of high-quality work.
  • Assisting in the creation of high-quality drawings and other materials to support the design development process.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field with at least 1 year of study completed, or graduates planning to continue with a Master’s degree in a similar discipline.
  • Previous internship experience with a structural engineering focus is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant design software.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly compensation: USD 20 - USD 25.
