Join Jacobs as an Entry-Level Structural Engineer in Dallas or Fort Worth, contributing to innovative structural design and upgrades with expert mentorship.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Design new structures and perform existing structural upgrades.
  • Be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks.
  • Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks.
  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred).
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC (preferred).
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures (preferred).
  • Experience with STAAD, RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis and design software (preferred).
  • Experience with Revit and Bluebeam (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $55,600.00 to $84,000.00, determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
