Structural (Bridge) Engineering Intern - Fairfax (Jun 2026)

Assist in designing bridges and transportation structures while gaining hands-on engineering experience.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design simple and complex bridges primarily of steel and concrete construction
• Work on various transportation-related structures including retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other ancillary structures
• Develop contract plans, prepare engineer's estimates and construction specifications
• Perform construction support services
• Collaborate as part of a team of professionals

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Experience using CADD software (Microstation or AutoCAD preferred)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to work in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $17.75 - $28.75 per hour
