Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Design simple and complex bridges, primarily steel and concrete construction.
  • Work on transportation-related structures including retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and ancillary structures.
  • Assist in development of contract plans, preparation of engineer's estimates, and construction specifications.
  • Perform construction support services as part of the team.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.
  • Experience using CADD software (Microstation or AutoCAD preferred).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Local candidates preferred; no housing stipend provided.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $17.75 - $28.75 per hour.

Training & Development

Interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and apply classroom knowledge through meaningful work and projects similar to full-time roles.

  • Networking opportunities with interns, staff, and senior leaders.
  • Workshops on services, projects, clients, career planning, and DiSC assessment.
  • Summer-long group project addressing firm strategy alongside leaders.
