Strategic Design Intern (Jun 2025)

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in the full strategic design process to transform customer insights into growth opportunities.
• Conducting qualitative research and synthesizing learnings into actionable insights.
• Supporting ideation workshops and creative sessions.
• Envisioning and conceptualizing new business ideas through creative storytelling.
• Iteratively designing and refining solutions through prototyping.
• Collaborating with a diverse group of designers and innovation specialists.
• Contributing to the AIS team by sharing experiences and perspectives.
• Gaining experience in a client services environment.
• Supporting cross-functional process management and project delivery.
• Building the AIS knowledge base and contributing to culture creation.

About You:

Eligibility requirements include:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s design program, graduating in less than ~2 years.
• Submission of a design portfolio.
• Ability to work from Bain & Company New York office from June 9 to August 15, 2025.
• Willingness to travel to client sites approximately 30% of the internship.
• Hands-on experience in shaping digital products or services.
• Understanding of Design Thinking and Agile work methods.
• Skills in strategic design, research, UX/UI, and digital product design.
• Proficiency in collaboration and prototyping tools like Figma and Adobe CS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation includes a monthly base salary of $9,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Bain pays 100% of individual employee premiums for medical, dental, and vision programs.
