Join Arcadis as a Stormwater Transportation Engineer Intern to work on roadway drainage design projects across the Southeast with a global leader in sustainable design and engineering.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on engineering design for roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements.
- Assisting in all aspects of roadway drainage design such as bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post-construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control.
- Preparing construction plans, project displays, cost estimates, reports, and technical memos.
- Utilizing design software including MicroStation, Inroads, GeoPak, Open Roads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-MS, HY8, FlowMaster, Pond Pack, CulvertMaster, ICPR, and StormCAD.
- Working efficiently both independently and collaboratively within Design & Engineering teams.
- Completing a wide range of tasks in both office and field settings.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Preferred prior experience with drainage design.
- Preferred experience with software platforms such as Bentley’s StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, Pond Pack, HEC-RAS, HEC-MS, HY8, ICPR, and/or SWMM.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly salary range: $15.00 - $25.00, based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
