Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs as a Software Engineering or Site Reliability intern.
  • Design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.
  • Create, fix, extend, and scale code to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with peers, managers, and teams to foster a productive and innovative environment.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or post-secondary training focused on software development or related technical fields.
  • Experience coding in two or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python).
  • Experience with data structures or algorithms from academic or work experience.
  • English proficiency and U.S. residency for the internship duration.
  • Preferred: Currently attending a U.S. degree program and available full-time for 12 weeks outside university term time.
  • Preferred: Experience programming in three or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Go, Python, or Typescript.
  • Preferred: Experience with web application development, Unix/Linux, mobile apps, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, NLP, networking, large software systems, or security software development.

Compensation

  • US base salary range: $92,000 - $122,000 (base salary only, excluding bonus, equity, or benefits).
