Join ABB as a Software Engineering Intern to support operations and gain hands-on experience in software development within a global market leader.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within defined timelines.
  • Participate in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation, with a heavy focus on documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in daily or weekly stand ups and meetings.
  • Apply prior project or experience demonstrating programming language skills (such as C# or Javascript/ReactJS) and database (SQL) skills.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Collaborative skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
