Join ABB as a Software Engineering Intern to collaborate on embedded Linux product development and gain hands-on experience in a global market leader environment.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within defined timelines.
  • Design and develop Embedded Linux based products for Instrumentation.
  • Analyze problems or deficiencies and develop product solutions to resolve them.
  • Conduct experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.
  • Learn development on C++ and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Work directly with Senior Engineers to develop and test new approaches for ABB products.
  • Learn Azure DevOps and other agile management methodologies.

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in computer science, engineering, or related fields in the United States.
  • Knowledge of C++, Embedded Linux, and RTOS.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite in Bartlesville, OK.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate between $20 - $34, based on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
  • Internships at ABB within the United States are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.

Training & Development

Gain practical experience through various projects, daily task performance, and direct mentorship from Senior Engineers, enhancing personal education and employment opportunities.
