Your Role

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will learn what it means to be an Engineer in a real-world environment. Your responsibility does not stop at programming, it also encompasses knowledge building of the IMC business model and building relationships across trading and technology teams. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• You will have access to classroom sessions, pair programming, and code reviews, not to mention the incredible social activities and events.
• You will be supported by both a Mentor and an intern lead who will oversee your projects and professional development. 

Training, Development & Rotation

When you start your career with IMC Trading, your first three to seven weeks, depending on your role are spent in one of IMC Global Offices with new traders and engineers from around the world. IMC Global Trainee Program, a combination of classroom-based courses and simulations developed in-house, will teach you everything you need so you are set for success. Back in your home office, you will be paired with an experienced mentor who will help you thrive in the world of IMC, ensuring you continue to grow and are challenged throughout your career. Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from approximately $103,000 to $251,000 per year.

About You

• Student in the penultimate year of Software Engineering or Computer Science related degree.
• With a current GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must have proficient experience in a programming language (Java or C++ preferred).
• Interest in the Financial Markets but previous knowledge is not required.
• Must have strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Strong analytical skills and desire to solve complicated problems programmatically.
• Willingness to interact and work closely with non-engineers in a constantly changing environment.
