Software Engineers at Palantir develop scalable data-driven software platforms supporting critical public and private sector missions.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving large-scale transformation through data, AI, and infrastructure supporting mission-critical workloads.
- Contributing high-quality code to platforms such as Rubix, Apollo, and Mission Manager used by civil and defense agencies worldwide.
- Building core capabilities powering Palantir’s Foundry and Gotham platforms for diverse users including scientists and analysts.
- Working within the Production Infrastructure organization on teams focused on Environment Platform (Kubernetes-based PaaS), Apollo (secure deployment and change management), and Signals (observability and alerting tools).
- Owning every phase of the product lifecycle from ideation to shipping releases, paired with a dedicated mentor.
- Collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues to solve real customer problems, including direct engagement with end users such as military personnel and government workers.
- Embracing principles of ownership, collaboration, and trust within cross-functional teams.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, users, and non-technical team members.
- Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions effectively.
- Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $145,000 - $155,000 per year.
- Total compensation may include Restricted Stock Units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.
