Software Engineer, Internship - Infrastructure - Palo Alto, CA (Start ASAP)

Software Engineering Intern at Palantir to build scalable infrastructure improving developer productivity and platform performance.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Building shared infrastructure supporting Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and Apollo platforms.
• Improving developer experience and engineering velocity within Palantir’s Foundations organization.
• Working on backend, developer, frontend, or storage infrastructure teams focused on scalable, performant, and reliable systems.
• Participating throughout the product lifecycle from idea generation to rollout.
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical team members to address developer and customer needs.
• Being paired with a mentor to support growth and success.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar.
• Passion for improving developer productivity and empathy for user impact.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions when needed.
• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
• Must be planning to graduate in 2027 and this should be the final internship before graduation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary of $10,500 per month, subject to qualifications and experience.
