Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech (Start ASAP)

Join Palantir as a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern to develop mission-critical software that supports global defense operations.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Contribute high-quality code to Palantir's Gotham product focused on defense capabilities.
• Support the full product lifecycle from idea generation, design, prototyping, execution, to shipping.
• Work on mission-critical products enabling secure data integration, visualization, and analysis for defense customers.
• Collaborate with small teams of Software Engineers focusing on specific product aspects such as geospatial mapping or release infrastructure.
• Partner with technical and non-technical team members including Product Managers, Designers, and Forward Deployed Engineers.
• Take ownership of projects and work through obstacles to deliver results.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one before internship start.
• Ability to write clean, effective code and quickly learn new programming languages.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions when needed.
• Must be planning to graduate in 2027 and this should be the final internship before graduation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary of $10,500 per month, subject to qualifications and experience.
