Join Palantir as a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern to develop mission-critical software that supports global defense operations.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing high-quality code to Palantir's Gotham product focused on defense applications.
- Supporting the delivery of Palantir Defense capabilities to critical mission partners.
- Participating throughout the product lifecycle from idea generation, design, prototyping, to execution and shipping.
- Collaborating closely with technical and non-technical team members to understand customer problems and build effective solutions.
- Working within small teams focused on specific product aspects, such as geospatial mapping or release infrastructure.
- Embracing software engineering principles of ownership, collaboration, and trust.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with:
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one before internship start.
- Graduation planned for 2027, with this internship as the final one before graduating.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions when needed.
