Software Developer Intern (Jun 2026)

7-Eleven offers summer internships focused on software development, providing hands-on experience in retail systems and innovation.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Build, maintain and enhance POS, Mobile and retail systems
• Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement
• Manage full software development life cycle including design, development, unit testing, system testing and deployment
• Perform systems and applications performance characterization and trade-off studies through analysis and simulation
• Create design documents to ensure consistency in development across the IT organization
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to evaluate environments, establish technology standards and identify value-adding opportunities

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
• Familiarity with C++, SQL Server, Oracle, Modern Web Development (Angular, jQuery, Bootstrap), REST/JSON Web Services (WCF and Web API), Node.js and Android
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
