Contribute to Google as a Silicon Engineering Intern to design and build hardware and software technologies powering global services.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building hardware and software technologies for Google’s services
  • Working with teams such as Cloud Chip Innovation Infrastructure and Devices and Services
  • Contributing to complex computational challenges enabled by custom in-house hardware
  • Supporting projects related to computer architecture, digital design, design verification, physical design, circuits, and pre/post-silicon validation

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Project experience in at least one Silicon Engineering area: architecture and digital design, design verification, physical design and circuits, or pre/post-silicon validation
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Tcl, Perl, or C++
  • English proficiency and located in the United States for the internship duration
  • Preferred: currently attending a US degree program and available full-time for 12 weeks outside university term
  • Preferred: experience with performance modeling, system-level simulation, embedded systems development, and familiarity with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor)
  • Preferred: expertise in high-performance/low-power design, memory hierarchies, machine learning accelerators, interconnects, advanced packaging, or design automation (CAD/EDA)

Compensation

  • US base salary range: $88,000 - $117,000 for full-time position
