Security Consultant Summer Intern, BS/MS (Jun 2026)

Collaborate with Google as a Security Consultant Summer Intern to support cybersecurity programs and collaborate with clients on enterprise security solutions.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Provide guidance on building and/or maturing cybersecurity programs and implementing tools and technologies for enterprise security.
• Evaluate client needs, coordinate solution design, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex technical subjects.
• Implement and/or assess existing security controls.
• Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations and track issues to closure.
• Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within the customer environment to resolve security issues.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
• Experience in investigative or incident response environments.
• Experience in professional cybersecurity domains.
• Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time (preferred).
• In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship (preferred).
• Experience working in SOC analysis, malware research, threat hunting, or similar (preferred).
• Familiarity with fundamentals of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, or OS X (preferred).
• English proficiency is required.
• Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.

Compensation

• US base salary range: $67,500 - $90,000 for this full-time position.
