Sector Data Associate Intern (Start ASAP)

Join Citadel’s Sector Data Analyst Team to analyze large data sets and support investment decisions using scientific research methods.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Learn fundamental investor approach and how data can enhance the research process
• Assist investment teams in understanding key data drivers of companies and sectors
• Analyze data from multiple sources to test complex investment theses
• Quickly digest data, recognize inflection points, and determine data relevancy to investment questions
• Perform research and present findings to SDAs and investment teams clearly and effectively
• Work with existing and new data sets to develop significant ideas and decision support tools for investment teams

About You

The company is looking for:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, economics, business, computer science, or physics
• Intellectual curiosity with a genuine interest in investment
• Professional demeanor with the ability to learn, think, and react quickly
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for interaction with investment teams
• Creativity and ability to innovate, combined with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Comfort identifying, analyzing, and presenting data
• Interest in finance and working in the investment industry
• Experience with Python, SQL, and Excel

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $2,400 per week.
