Join OneAmerica Financial as a Sales Representative I to gain comprehensive training and mentorship in group insurance sales and relationship management.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Develop foundational knowledge of employee benefits products, broker relationship management, sales fundamentals, underwriting, and compliance.
- Collaborate with experienced sales leaders and mentors, support broker relationships, quoting, and proposal development, and participate in strategy sessions and internal sales planning.
- Gain field experience by joining group reps to meet brokers, observe client conversations, present benefit solutions, manage sales activity, and take ownership of outreach, prospecting, and follow-ups.
- Eventually take ownership of a territory and broker relationships, managing the full sales cycle with manager support.
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or graduating college senior.
- Ability to obtain an insurance license within the first 60 days (training provided).
- Preferred experience in sales, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is recommended.
- Willingness to work remotely with occasional physical presence in CA, IN, or ME offices as business needs dictate.
- Compliance with mandated background checks including criminal history.
- Not permitted to work remotely from the State of New York.
