Pros & Cons

  • The people are supportive and create a positive environment, which makes the work enjoyable.
  • Meaningful work with tangible results, flexible working conditions, quick learning, and exposure to different industries.
  • Plenty of opportunities to grow professionally.
  • WFH ability.
  • Diverse and stimulating work. Smart and fun coworkers.
  • It can be hard having to learn how to operate in a new team every 2-3 months. Mainly due to working styles, as hours can be flexible to suit your life.
  • Frequently swinging from being too busy to not busy enough, it can be hard to find a steady rhythm.
  • Graduate consultants typically work across multiple projects at once, which can lead to a fluctuating workload. Remuneration is slightly lower compared to other consulting firms.
  • Like any consulting role, the hours can sometimes be long, especially when projects are at a critical stage.
  • You don’t always get to choose the type of work you’re staffed on — but I see that as part of the learning process.
