J&J Surgery Cincinnati seeks R&D Design & Development Co-op for Summer 2026 to support product design and testing in MedTech.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilize state-of-the-art tools and participate in on-site training courses.
  • Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design.
  • Contribute to design solutions using CAD tools, simulation tools, and engineering principles under mentorship.
  • Assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data, and recommending next steps.
  • Receive intermediate CAD training including simulation models, kinematics models, and stack-up analysis.
  • Increase responsibilities with each rotation; multiple rotations of 3-5 months are desired.

About You

What you'll need:

  • Enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, or related field (PhD considered).
  • Completion of at least two semesters by May 2026; sophomore standing or above.
  • Student status during co-op term with graduation date after April 2026.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. for the full co-op duration (May to August 2026) without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated leadership or participation in campus/community programs.
  • Availability to work full-time onsite during business hours; coursework must be outside business hours if applicable.
  • Previous medical device industry internship or co-op experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
