IMC Trading was founded with a desire to become pathfinders in innovative trading in 1989. The company was founded by two members of the Amsterdam Equity Options Exchange. At the time of its founding, IMC Trading worked in executing trades via manual calculations. Later on, the firm began investments in proprietary trading technology. Their early investment in trading technology has helped them define the effects of technology in trading. 

Your role

• As a Quant Research Intern you will work alongside a dedicated mentor to build custom analysis tools and explore new research ideas.
• The internship program is focused on enhancing your knowledge of options theory, market making, algorithm complexity, and trades analysis.
• Your responsibility does not stop at pure knowledge acquisition; you’ll also have the opportunity to implement new models and launch them into production.

Training, development & rotations

You will be supported by both a Mentor and an intern lead who will oversee your projects and professional development. You will have access to classroom theory sessions, mock trading, desk rotations, simulated trading, and incredible social activities and events.

Compensation & benefits

Prosple estimated the salary range of this position to be between US$42,000 - US$68,000. As an employee, you'll also receive the following benefits:

About you

• Student pursuing a Ph.D. or M.S. in a STEM discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, etc...)
• Experience with programming in Python is a strong advantage
• Desire to further understand financial theory
• Superb analytical and mathematical skills
