Public Finance Summer Analyst Program (Jun 2027)

Join Bank of America's Public Finance Investment Banking group to assist in capital raising, debt analysis, and strategic advisory for governmental and not-for-profit clients.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Developing and maintaining financial cash flow models using industry-standard software
• Supporting various financial analyses, including bond structuring
• Performing comprehensive client, credit, and pricing research
• Preparing presentation and other materials for client meetings
• Communicating and interacting with underwriting, sales & trading teams to execute transactions related to structuring and marketing

About You

The company is looking for:

• Candidates pursuing a bachelor’s or bachelor’s direct to master’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating between November 2027 and August 2028
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
• A strong interest in finance and the public sector
• Demonstrated academic aptitude, quantitative and organizational skills, strategic and creative thinking, and strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and in a team environment
• Integrity, attention to detail, assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, and team focus
• Interest in working in New York, Dallas, or Chicago (Central Region), Los Angeles or San Francisco (West Region), or Winter Park, Florida (post-graduation); candidates should indicate city preferences when applying
• Ability to travel as needed to client meetings, typically within the region
