Join Brinkmann Constructors as a Project Engineer to assist in managing construction projects with a focus on cost estimation, contract administration, and schedule management.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day construction project management
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities and maintain client relationships
  • Prepare full cost estimates including quantity take-offs and pricing
  • Participate in bid solicitation, bid package preparation, and analysis
  • Assist in general contract and subcontract administration
  • Prepare permit applications and maintain updated construction documents including as-builts
  • Manage and process shop drawings and submittals
  • Coordinate material and equipment procurement and expediting
  • Facilitate the RFI process and document project coordination meetings
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure adherence to key dates
  • Initiate, review, and negotiate change orders
  • Oversee the close-out process including punch list creation and completion
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

The company is looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, architectural, or construction), construction management, or related field
  • 0-2 years' experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to travel or temporarily relocate for job assignments
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Problem-solving skills to present alternative solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Passion for the industry, self-motivated, strong work ethic, time management, organized, detail-oriented, and creative
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
