Design and execute user-centered software features at Palantir, collaborating closely with engineers and product teams to enhance developer experience.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end design execution of product features with minimal supervision.
- Collaborating with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, and Forward Deployed Engineers to refine Palantir products.
- Engaging in interaction and visual design, defining product concepts, workflows, micro-interactions, and visual design using tools like Figma.
- Conducting informal user research including interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiry, combining qualitative and quantitative data.
- Working closely with engineers and product managers to prototype and build products, advocating for UX consistency and reusable UI components.
- Maintaining awareness of software interface construction, with familiarity in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript to collaborate effectively with engineers.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Planned graduation in 2026.
- Portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project (include portfolio password if applicable).
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to build relationships and convey design rationale.
- High empathy and dedication to understanding and empowering users.
- Ability to iterate through design processes, give and receive critiques, and incorporate feedback rapidly.
- Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions when needed.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, workflows, and ability to speak the language of developers.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range: $125,000 - $130,000 per year.
- Total compensation may include Restricted Stock Units, sign-on bonus, and other potential incentives.
