Palantir seeks a Product Design intern to lead design sprints, create user-centered interfaces, and collaborate across teams in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading design sprints and owning end-to-end execution of real product features with minimal supervision
- Designing interaction and visual elements, defining product concepts, workflows, micro-interactions, and visual design using tools like Figma
- Conducting informal user research, including customer interviews and usability tests, combining qualitative and quantitative data
- Collaborating closely with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, and Forward Deployed Engineers to prototype and build products
- Maintaining awareness of software interface construction, with familiarity in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript to effectively partner with engineers
About You
The company is looking for:
- Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
- Students planning to graduate in 2027, with this internship as their final before graduation
- A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project (include portfolio password if applicable)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to build relationships and convey design rationale
- High empathy and dedication to understanding and empowering users
- Strong ability to iterate through design processes, give and receive critiques, and incorporate feedback rapidly
- Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask questions when needed
