AtkinsRéalis seeks a Process Engineering Intern to support engineering tasks and project management.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Assist in the development of Engineering Drawings and Documents
- Assist in Equipment Operational Testing
- Assist in development of Engineering Modifications
- Learn and develop a working knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and assist in development of CGD plans and test reports
- Assist in development of Electronic Purchase Requests and oversee technical project management of fabrication contracts
- Participate in Hazard Review Team (HRT) meetings during development of work packages
- Support the exposure to radiation As Low As Reasonably Achievably (ALARA) Program during equipment design development
- Assist with reviews of Work Packages, procedures, and other documents to ensure compliance with Engineering requirements
- Support job walkdowns as needed
- Under supervision of the Engineering Manager, prepare, review, and revise Engineering Procedures
About You
The company is looking for:
- Acceptance into a Bachelor’s degree program in mechanical or chemical engineering or similar field
- Completion of a minimum of 24 credit hours toward a degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026)
- Math skills to perform calculations and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills for data entry into spreadsheets or databases
- Strong technical writing experience
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE “L” Security Clearance
- Real ID compliant identification to access the work location
- No professional registrations required
