Join Amazon Robotics as a Process Engineer Intern/Co-op to optimize manufacturing processes and support robotics manufacturing operations.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manufacturing process optimization projects involving data collection, cycle time studies, root-cause/problem-solving initiatives, and creation of training modules
  • Create business process models using best practice techniques, including current and future state solution design documents using gathered requirements
  • Gather, analyze, and document functional/technical requirements for new projects, enhancements, and production issues
  • Research production system issues, resolve user problems, and escalate when necessary (Manufacturing Engineering Support)
  • Conduct periodic project updates and review sessions with cross-functional team members
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives
  • Document Manufacturing/Tech OPs-specific process and project activities supporting content and knowledge management initiatives
  • Participate in Lean Initiatives including 5S performance auditing and Kaizen Event sessions

About You

The company is looking for:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with graduation between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program physically located in the United States with at least one semester/term/quarter remaining after the co-op
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Eligible and available for a full-time (40h/week) co-op during the 6-month duration
  • Knowledge of different process innovation methodologies and their practical application
  • Preferred: Understanding of metrics, process capabilities, LEAN and IE techniques
  • Preferred: Proficient with AutoCAD / 2D layouts
  • Preferred: Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication to results
  • Preferred: Ability to work collaboratively without direct reporting authority; team player
  • Preferred: Effective communication with technical and business staff
  • Preferred: Excellent written, speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred: Experience with creating process models

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay ranges from $41.78/hr to $88.94/hr depending on geographic market
  • Pay varies based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Potential equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of total compensation package
