Support nuclear plant safety decisions by building and updating Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) models at ENERCON.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Build and update Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) models
- Support hazard evaluations and work with advanced tools
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems using data, modeling, and engineering analysis
- Learn and apply codes and standards for designing projects
- Be organized, efficient, and maintain a positive attitude towards learning and feedback
- Collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection
- Adapt to new software systems
- Ask questions, use available resources, and connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
About You
The company is looking for:
- Graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Preferred graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Available to start internship in May or June 2026
- Solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites
- Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns
- Must be able to work outside
- Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings
- Completion of pre-interview assessments
- College transcript submission required for candidates with less than 1 year of experience post-graduation
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
