Energize the grid as a Power Delivery Engineering Intern at ENERCON, gaining hands-on experience in transmission, distribution, and substation design.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing power delivery systems including transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on real-world projects supporting utilities, power producers, and industrial clients
- Learning and applying codes and standards for project design
- Collecting field data alongside senior engineers
- Adapting to new software systems and managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Connecting classroom knowledge with practical industry work
- Meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude towards learning and feedback
About You
The company is looking for candidates who:
- Are graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines
- Are available to start in May 2026
- Have intellectual curiosity about power delivery and its community impact
- Possess a solid foundation in core engineering concepts
- Are proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Have excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Can work both independently and collaboratively in teams
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities
- Are physically able to climb stairs and ladders, navigate client sites, and work outdoors
- Are willing and able to travel for client and company projects or meetings
- Can complete pre-interview assessments and submit college transcripts if under one year post-graduation
- Can pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, background checks, and motor vehicle record checks
- Are legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
